Discovery Time - Week 1

Today we had Discovery Time in Room 1. In a couple of weeks we will be doing Discovery Time with some of the other junior classes too. Discovery Time is when we get to explore a variety of different activities across different topics e.g. Science, Maths, Topic, Art etc. Today we did a magic milk experiment together before we had choosing time. 

Here is how you can try this experiment at home.

You will need:

Milk

Food colouring

Dish washing liquid

Cotton buds 

Glitter (optional)

1. Pour the milk into the bowl. 

2. Sprinkle glitter onto the milk. 

3. Add dots of food colouring into the bowl of milk.

4. Dip the cotton bud into dish washing liquid. 

5. Place the end of the cotton bud with dish washing onto the food colouring.

6. Watch the magic of the chemical reaction between the milk and dish washing liquid.
